The Winter Solstice marks the middle of winter, at the time of the shortest day. Join us for a day of Viking’s vinyl, Winter Ales, and Soul Food!  Expect intimate tunes, entertaining stories, fires, and friends. We promise a relaxing afternoon with an incredible vinyl  line-up and incredible beers.

About our Beerworks and our Winter Ales
Beerworks at the Yard is the place where the beer takes centre stage in our unique brewery and taproom. We have a wide and ever-changing selection of small-batch craft beers. Whether you are into refreshing lagers, hoppy IPAs, or malty dark ales you will find something to your taste on our Wall. For this event, we have been brewing some seasonal and dark beers, as well as inviting some of our brewing friends to take over some of our taps for the day. You can look forward to enjoying the best winter beer selection right here.

Other drinks and food options:
Another G&T will be selling Gin Cocktails and we have a selection of Everson cider.
We have a full-service bar and will be selling, pizzas, samosas and bar snacks on the day.

*Cosmic Sun Creations Sip and Paint Experience
Discover your inner artist during this 2-hour painting workshop. With a paintbrush in one hand and a beer in the other, follow along as a talented artist guides you step-by-step through painting the session’s featured artwork.
2 Hour Painting class

*Soul Food
We have a few food options for pre-order only. Please make sure you book these in advance to avoid disappointment.
Pies are made by the Happy Uncles Chefs. There are meat and vegetarian options available.

*Parking
We have two big off-street parking areas at 100 Voortrekker Road. There is some on-street parking but we urge you not to drink and drive and take a cab where possible.

The event is dog and kid-friendly. Kids under 18 can enter for free.
